On March 16, Zhang Gaoli, a member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China and Vice Premier of the State Council, met with Mr. Ernest Monizat, the U.S. Secretary of Energy the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on cooperation in such areas as energy, climate change, and nuclear safety in both countries.
