On June 4, 2023, Mr. Zhang Jianhua, Director of the National Energy Administration who led a delegation to visit Qatar, called on Qatar’s Deputy Emir Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha, and talked with Qatar’s Minister of State for Energy Affairs, Qatar Energy Company President and CEO Saad Ka'abi. During the meeting and talking, the two sides spoke highly of the fruitful results of China-Qatar energy cooperation in recent years, and agreed that the two countries had mutual political trust, economic complementarity, and great potential for future cooperation. The two sides stated that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, they would further strengthen communication and coordination, deepened practical cooperation in energy and other fields, achieved mutual benefit and win-win results, and promoted high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road" between China and Qatar.
