Recently, Qinshan Nuclear Power Company officially launched its primary zinc injection project at Fangjiashan Unit 1, marking a breakthrough in the application of zinc injection technology to operating nuclear power units in China. This technology requires extensive research and demonstration in areas such as material compatibility and operational effects, involving multiple disciplines, high technical requirements and complex implementation processes.

After about five years of dedicated efforts, the project team has completed key tasks such as research, experiments, safety assessments, plant modifications, and readiness for the implementation of the primary zinc injection technology, and successfully integrated it into Fangjiashan Unit 1.
