On 31 October, the National Energy Administration held a press conference to present the energy landscape and renewable energy grid connection for the first three quarters of the year. Dong Wancheng, Deputy Director of the Development and Planning Department, highlighted the significant progress made in the green and low-carbon energy transition, especially the successful first grid-connected power generation of the “Guohe One” demonstration project.

The “Guohe One” demonstration project, one of the key national science and technology projects, has achieved a significant milestone with its Unit 1. This unit is capable of generating 1.534 million kilowatts of electricity and is designed to operate for 60 years.
