On 27 August, the first symposium on nuclear power plant generators was held in Hangzhou. The event was organized by the Nuclear Power Operation Technology Committee of the China Nuclear Energy Association (CNEA) and hosted by China Nuclear Power Operation Technology Corporation, Ltd. (CNPO).

In attendance were Zheng Weiping, Deputy Secretary-General of CNEA, and Ling Tianyun, General Manager of CNPO. More than 60 experts and representatives participated from 30 nuclear power operators representing CNNC, CGN, SPIC and China Huaneng, as well as from three major generator manufacturers, and a number of universities and research institutes.

This meeting provided a pioneering platform for sharing operating experience, tackling common technical challenges, accelerating innovation and advancing industry standards. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on key issues related to the management and technical operation of nuclear power plant generators. The meeting helped to identify core areas for future technical collaboration and resolution of common challenges, as well as the development of standard systems within the industry.
