China Nuclear Energy Association Hosts 2026 Spring Forum
On 17 April, the China Nuclear Energy Association held its 2026 Spring Forum on Nuclear Energy Sustainable Development in Beijing, under the theme of nuclear energy innovation contributing to building a strong energy country.
The forum featured 18 keynote speakers and panelists, including government officials, corporate executives, academicians and senior experts. Cao Shudong, Executive Vice-Chairman of CNEA, and Guo Limin, Secretary-General of CNEA, chaired the morning and afternoon sessions, respectively.
Wang Yiren, chief expert of the China Nuclear Energy Development Report and former vice-chairman of the China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA), announced the release of the Blue Book “China Nuclear Energy Development Report (2026)”.
Thematic reports were delivered by representatives from the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), the China Huaneng Group and the China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN), as well as by Su Xuebin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and chief scientist at the CNNC, and Li Jiangang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and researcher at the Institute of Plasma Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Nearly 500 industry representatives and over 30 journalists from 26 media outlets attended.
