First Hualong One Reactor in Yangtze River Delta Enters Commercial Operation
On 29 April, Unit 1 of CGN’s San’ao Nuclear Power Plant in Zhejiang Province — the first Hualong One reactor in the Yangtze River Delta — became commercially operational, following the successful completion of a 168-hour trial run. Till now, CGN operates 30 nuclear power units with a total installed capacity of 34.25 GWe. This is also China’s first nuclear power project to involve private capital.
