A key breakthrough in R&D of China's first 100-ton nodular cast iron spent fuel transport container
October 19th , 2022From July 8th to 9th, 2022, "Research and Development of nodular cast iron Spent Fuel Transport Containers" project under the nuclear energy development scheme of he National Atomic Energy Agency completed the mechanical test of the first prototype container with a 100-ton capacity. It lays a solid foundation for verifying the rationality of the container structure design, the effectiveness of the shock absorption function and the accuracy of the mechanical simulation calculation, and also provides a reference for subsequent research and development and industrialization. This is a key breakthrough and an important milestone in the development of China's first 100-ton nodular cast iron spent fuel transport container. By 2025, Shandong's nuclear power capacity will be 5700 MW

China's national report was highly recognized by all parties at the Seventh Conference of the Parties to the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and Radioactive Waste Management
August 18th , 2022On June 30, 2022,the Chinese Government delegation completed the review of the China National Report for the Seventh Conference of the Parties to the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and Radioactive Waste Management at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna. China's compliance with the Convention has been highly affirmed by the Parties. The Conference of the Parties opened on June 27. 2022, More than 750 representatives from 76 Contracting Parties attended the conference. The conference lasted for two weeks. The 26th nuclear power unit of CGNPC put into operation —— Hongyanhe became the largest nuclear power operating plant in China
August 18th , 2022At 21:35 on June 23, 2022, with the successful completion of the 168-hour trial operation test, Unit 6 of the Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Station in Liaoning Province was officially ready for commercial operation. It marks that the first phase and the second phase of the Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Station with a total of six units has fully beenput into operation, and it has become the largest nuclear power plant in China in terms of installed capacity.
