China’s First Commercial 2×6MV Tandem Accelerator Successfully Commissioned
China’s first commercial 2×6MV (12MV) tandem accelerator has been assembled and undergone cold commissioning at the Accelerator R&D Centre of the Ruichang Institute of Applied Nuclear Physics in Jiangxi, CCTV News reported on 29 March.
The accelerator was independently developed by the China Institute of Atomic Energy. Having met all key performance indicators, it has officially rolled off the production line. This milestone marks significant progress in China’s development of cutting-edge research equipment.
